Footings For New ICF House In Southeastern Michigan -- ANAND Enterprises Project EneE1J1201

.
This Energy Efficient House has IntegraSpec Insulating Concrete Form (ICF) walls -- we have designed the floors to be supported on open web steel joists and joist girders ... so the entire basement would be practically column free, the walls footings use Form-A-Drain to serve as form work for concrete footings, drain tiles, and for trapping redon gas; the few columns we do have in the stair walls will be on isolated footings; the back side of the house is a walkout where I designed the footings to be Frost Protected Shallow Foundation to avoid unnecessary expense of deeper excavation and larger amount of concrete. I had taken some pictures when I was out in the field ... so let me have the pictures do the talking.

As you can see we have already got the ICF blocks and the rebars for the basement walls, and the open web steel joists, and joist girders for the floor system ... I will keep you posted with the progress on this house as we move along.
