Assessing Structural Integrity of Basement And Crawl Space Walls of Existing House -- ANAND Enterprises Project KozH1J1401

.
I present here some pictures that I took this morning during my site visit

This is an older house of concrete masonry block wall construction for the basement and two crawl spaces. Although there are some horizontal cracks in the block walls and some step cracks in face brick, I did not find anything to be concerned about, The cracks that I observed are not unusual -- the type that one would find in an older building. The building is structurally sound and there are no tell tales of any progressive damage.

Structural Integrity Verification Of New Nudura ICF House Construction In SouthEastern Michigan -- ANAND Enterprises Project BelG1J1401ygs

New ICF House

This is a ranch (no basement) with a wrap around veranda ICF house using Nudura block. I met with the installer Jake and his crew at the job site on Aug-05-2014. I had reviewed the drawings earlier submitted to me by the builder Gregory.

The purpose of the visit was mainly to check that this ICF house as being built is structurally sound and will be able to carry all the intended dead and live loads (including wind loads) safely and securely. At the time of my visit work was progressing well -- great workmanship -- erection of the ICF forms for the walls was nearing completion for readiness of concrete pour the week of Sep-08-2014.

In the following I present some pictures that I had taken during my field visit -- the pictures are presented in the order in which they were taken.
