I was at the project site this afternoon to look at the repair to the FirstFloor Support Joists After Fire damage and to verify that the repaired system is structurally acceptable. Here I present some of the pictures I took during my field visit.

My inspection from inside the basement revealed that the structural repair

to the fire damaged joists has been done satisfactorily -- however, I told

the builder that the sistered joists and the supporting structure made

with 4x4 posts need to be mechanically fastened.
