I was at the project site on Jul-05-2017, clear sunny and warm day, to witness concrete placement in the Second Floor ICF walls. Concrete supplied by Messina Concrete of Plymouth MI was placed using a boom pump by Matt Lincoln and his crew.

I was at the project site today, Jun-27-2017 to look at the Second Floor walls for readiness for concrete placement. In the following I present some pictures that I took during my inspection.

RENOVATION  OF EXISTING HOUSE

I was at the project site this afternoon to look at the LVL header used in renovation work to create the opening between family Room and Living Room. The LVL header has been installed and the renovation work is in progress. I present here some pictures that I took while I was at the project site.

Fix For Jacking Up A Wood Girder Offset From The Post -- Leveling The Floor In An Older Building In SouthEastern Michigan -- ANAND Enterprises Project TotH1J1701

I was at the project site on Apr-13-2017 to look at the installation of post to jack up a girder. My observations and comments are as follows:

The end of the girder to be jacked up is not directly above the post being used to jack up the girder. So I have designed a corbel so that when the post is cranked up gingerly the end of the girder that is offset from the center of the post gets jacked up. This is specialty work and will be done by personnel experienced in this type of work. Depending on the amount by which the girder needs to be raised, the desired result may need to be achieved by cranking up the post more than once.

Based on my field inspection, the information provided to me, my engineering judgment, and my practical experience, I believe that with the recommended fix executed in a workman like manner in a workman like manner, the desired effect can be achieved safely and securely.

I was at the project site Apr-10-2017 morning on the occasion of concrete placement in the First Floor walls. Concrete placement had started around 9:00 AM. Around 12:00 noon it began to rain and there was danger of thunder and lightning ... however the storm passed soon and the weather cleared and the concrete placement was completed in the afternoon.

I was at the project site on the morning of Apr-03-2017 to look at the First Floor walls for readiness for concrete placement subsequent to my meeting with the ICF wall contractor and discussion with the Building Official. In the following I present some pictures that I took during my inspection
